Tying off a ladder is thoroughly recommended when working at height.

This zinc plated eye screw can be screwed into the wall, e.g. to allow the ladder to be safely tied off.

75mm long with an eye approx 18mm diameter.

Requires a 10mm hole in the masonry, and they take more load than you’d think…..
